Red light therapy at home
Panels, wraps, masks and handhelds — what the research does and doesn’t support, and how to choose.
Red and near-infrared light (photobiomodulation) is an active research area for recovery, skin and joint comfort. Evidence is promising but still emerging, so we frame it as a maybe-helpful add-on, not a miracle.
If you try it, look at irradiance and wavelength (typically 630–660nm red and 810–850nm near-infrared), and be realistic about consistency — results, if any, come from regular use.
